Jouju is reincarnated as the daughter of Selena the pâtissier and Lucas the barista, who run a bakery in Sunshineville. She leads a pleasant life, dreaming of one day becoming a great pâtissier just like her mother. She is reunited with her childhood best friend, Cindy. Cindy has returned home after studying abroad, and Jouju is delighted to have her friend back. One day, a cute cat (Taro) follows Jouju home and starts telling her strange things. It’s s something about Jouju originally being a goddess in the celestial realm. She’s supposed to find all 11 starlight goddesses in the human realm and fill her card album... It turns out Jouju was a goddess-in-training in the celestial realm, on her way to becoming the 12th goddess. During her training however, her curiosity got the better of her and made her break one of the rules of the celestial realm. As a punishment, she was reincarnated as a human, with the mission of finding the goddesses. Hiding inside the mission is an astonishing secret... Jouju, who has lost all her memories of the celestial realm, is consistently plunged into danger by the witch Devi and her cronies. She is helped out by Taro, and has a supernatural experience which causes her to believe what Taro says. She comes to terms with her fate and the huge secret that lies inside her. She teams up with her friends Cindy and Taro to face off against Devi and her cronies, so that she can find the goddesses and protect her everyday life.

Meet the Characters

Jouju

While she was a goddess-in-training in the celestial realm and on her way to becoming the 12th goddess, she has been reincarnated as the precious daughter of Selena the pâtissier and Lucas the barista. She is full of curiosity, and is a girl of action. Being rather full of herself and needs to have her own way, and that spells trouble for her wherever she goes. Still, she learns and grows from these experiences. She is an honest , innocent and sometimes goofy girl. She was born into the fate of finding the 11 goddesses hidden in the human realm, and protecting the peace between the human and celestial realms.

Cindy

A girl with numerous talents in the arts and sports. She is extremely knowledgeable, and has learned the languages and cultures of numerous countries. She is currently a guitarist. She has a liberal and cool manner of thinking, and is very empathetic. She is used to being the center of attention, but all that attention has made her unwilling to fully reveal how she feels inside. But Jouju’s cheery and honest attitude causes Cindy to change, gradually. Using the powers that Jouju - Goddess of the Northern Crown - shares with her, she goes in search of the 11 goddesses and takes on Devi and her cronies.

Taro

A priest and keeper of books at the Library of Arithiel in the celestial realm. He was a proud guardian of the history of Arithiel, but was placed under a spell by the Demon King and sent to the human realm in the shape of a cat. He has tremendous respect for the Pontifex Astria. Originally a serious and dignified character, he has turned rather naggy and is easily scared since being turned into a cat. It sometimes gets to him how scatterbrained Jouju can be, but nobody is more understanding of her than he is. He works with Jouju to find the 11 goddesses. Although he dreads it , he manages to put up quite a convincing act as a cute little cat.

Jenny

The older of the goddesses of Gemini, in the human realm she works as a designer and coordinator at a dress shop. She has a feminine and lovely style. She is emotional, chatty and caring. Warm of heart, she takes good care of those around her. She has a bright and bubbly character, and likes flashy things.

Zena

The younger of the goddesses of Gemini. With her sister Jenny, she works as a designer and coordinator at a dress shop. Her style is unique and unconventional.
She is a rational and outspoken person, who might seem rather cold compared to Jenny. But inside, she’s a warm person. She trusts and depends on her sister Jenny.

Spica

The starlight goddess of Virgo. As a makeup artist in the human realm, she runs a 1-person beauty channel. She is a strong and level-headed character. If she has something she wants to say, she says it - regardless of the situation or to whom she is talking. When inspired, she boldly springs into action. When faces with crisis, she becomes stronger and more resolute. While she appears strong and bold the way she speaks and behaves, on the inside she is fragile.

Lucas

A barista who firmly believes ‘coffee is science’. A typical dad in his forties, living diligently with dedication to his job. A nice-guy dad who always lets Jouju’s mom win, and a true hero who is willing to do anything for his family.

Selena

The undisputed leader of Jouju’s family. A veteran pâtissier who has won numerous baking and confectionery competitions. A passionate worker. She gives Jouju timely advice and is always a good influence on her daughter. She has married Lucas the barista, and they run a bakery cafe together. While she is as much a friend as she is a mother to Jouju, she turns into a stern teacher when teaching her how to bake.

Mia

A seven-year-old girl who looks up to her older sister Jouju. She loves animals, and is the one who brings Taro home with her.
When something sparks her curiosity, she needs to get to the bottom of it right away. To Jouju, she is just an immature little girl, but her bubbly and sometimes weird character fills Jouju’s home with laughter.

Devi

A witch who was formerly an apprentice of the goddess Astria of Arithiel in the celestial realm, but who switched sides and became a follower of the Demon King. She and Taro are sworn enemies. She and Jouju frequently encounter each other as they each search for the 11 goddesses sent to the human realm by Astria to avoid the Demon King. She easily loses her temper and has a fierce, cold character, but somewhat unexpectedly, she likes to decorate and make things pretty. She has a rather strange idea of what is pretty - many would say the things she considers nice are rather tacky. She wields electric magic, and is later given greater powers by the Demon King to harass Jouju and the gang.

Scar

A faithful henchman of Devi’s, who works hard but doesn’t have the brains to do a proper job. Frequently makes mistakes. He is always bickering with his best friend and colleague Claw, but at the end of the day they both count on each other. He has a voracious appetite and keen sense of smell, allowing him to detect the smell of Taro’s Stardust.

Claw

A bit - a bit - smarter than Scar.
He is always trying hard to please Devi, but Devi is seldom impressed. He is a bit smarter than Scar, and sometimes manipulates and teases him. That's why the two are always bickering. Although small, he is surprisingly strong and able to snatch and lift things up with his legs.
